What is Angel Food and why is LifePointe participating?

LifePointe's Vision is to become an integral part of the Hutto community. The question that every church should have to honestly answer is, "If we were not here, would the community even notice?" Angel Food is exactly the kind of community outreach that is vital to fulfilling that vision and bringing us to answer the question, "Yes".

Our decision to participate with the Angel Food Network was based on the fact that as a community we all have to eat and provide for our families. We are hoping that by meeting this basic need we can bring the community closer to God and each other.

There are no income guidelines or limitations thru Angel Food which enables the entire community to participate. The program allows families in need to provide economically for themselves with no added stress or guilt and to possibly provide, when able, for other families thru donations. It also allows us, as a church to fulfill Gods will in a non intrusive way by being able to bring this food to our community at a lower cost and also from donations collected.

Angel Food also provides an outlet for people to become more involved in the community as well as within the church, one where limited knowledge of the Bible or questioning of our personal faith in God is not a hindrance.

Then the King will say to those on his right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father, take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me. Why become involved in the Angel Food program?

"Why not? That would be a better question. It's awesome. That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the program. Great food at a great price, sounds kind of a like an HEB commercial right? It's even better than that because you pay $30.00 for about $60.00 worth of food.
