The effectiveness of the Outreach team at LifePointe is crucial in ensuring LifePointe fulfills its vision of "becoming a vibrant church essential to the community." With events like Kites for Kids and ministries such as Angel Food and the Helping Hands Network, the outreach ministry of LifePointe is one of the most exciting teams to be apart of. Kites For Kids

Kites for Kids is an event where we as a church give back to the families of our community.  The event is a place where families can go and have fun, food and fellowship with others, and it’s all FREE. This event is centered around the free kites that are handed out to every child through the age of 12.  We have inflatables (moon walks, slides), hot dogs, snow cones, face painting, etc. And of course our wonderful praise band, "WellStone" who blesses us throughout the day with their music. This is a safe environment for the whole family.

The 9th annual Kites For Kids event will be on Sunday, April 19th, 2009 from 1-5pm at the Hutto High School. In case we have rain that day, the event will be rescheduled for April 26th, same time, same place.

The Kites For Kids event started out 9 years ago, handing out 75 kites, grilling some hot dogs, and having a couple of inflatables. Last year, over 3,000 people attended and we handed out over 1300 kites.

Each year, we have the privilege to see God bless this event. He has blessed us with the funds and the ability to grow this event as our community keeps growing year after year.

This year's Kites For Kids event is going to be a very special one. We will of course have food, kites, water, great music provided by Wellstone, plus we are going to have a few surprises for the kids and adults. We would love to have you come out this year and enjoy time with your family and fellowship with other families from the area.
